Ray J's Thoughts:
When a young girl's sketchbook falls into a strange pond, her drawings come to life-chaotic, real and on the loose. As the town descends into chaos, her family must reunite and stop the monsters they never meant to unleash.
Kids will love this! From Faith Based Angel Studios, "Sketch" is a fun live-action adventure that holds powerful lessons about turning emotions like anger & grief into creativity.
The ensemble of kids are energetic & great actors! Kue Lawrence (as Jack) is a standout! The dialogue is funny enough to keep kids entertained, while adults & parents may relate to the more emotional aspects. It's definitely the type of original film we haven't seen in some years - at times reminiscent of "Bridge To Terabithia" & similar films from the early 2000's.
"Sketch" is a simple family friendly fantasy - with a slight undertone of horror - but truly stands out when leaning into its themes & messages. This is one I think kids should see, especially those who've experienced grief at a young age.
